The Winesceptre is forged from high-grade stainless steel, the same steel used in white wine tanks, and is crafted for quality and a lifetime of enjoyment. It has been thoroughly tested by the LGA Institute, the independent laboratory of European food safety standards. The Winesceptre is certified "taste-neutral" and has been granted the Quality Label for security, functionality and food application. Each Winesceptre is individually tested for extremes in temperature and is dishwasher safe or hand-washable. (Warning: steel may be very hot after dishwasher cycle)

The o-rings are specially designed to serve three purposes... the bottom two hold the Winesceptre in the bottle, the third ring protects the bottle from contact with the stainless steel, and the top ring is used to secure the Winesceptre in its tube in the freezer.
